Masroofati ("we," "our," or "the App") is a personal finance application designed to help you track expenses, manage budgets, and set saving targets. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.

Masroofati is built with privacy as a core principle. **All your financial data is stored locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store your data on any external servers.**

We want to be clear: **We do NOT collect, transmit, or store any of the following:**

- Financial transaction data

- Location data

- Device identifiers

- Usage analytics or tracking data

- Any data that leaves your device

## Data Storage

**All data is stored locally on your device only:**

- Expense and income transactions

- Budget and saving target information

- Recurring transaction rules

- Budget history

- App settings and preferences

- Currency exchange rates (cached locally)

- Receipt images (stored locally)

This data never leaves your device and is not synchronized to any cloud service unless you explicitly choose to create a backup.

## Permissions and Why We Need Them

Masroofati requests the following permissions to provide its features:

### Camera Permission

- **Purpose**: To capture photos of receipts for automatic expense tracking

- **Usage**: Only when you choose to scan a receipt

- **Data**: Images are processed locally on your device and are not transmitted anywhere

### Photo Library Permission

- **Purpose**: To select receipt images from your photo library

- **Usage**: Only when you choose to add a receipt from your photo library

- **Data**: Images are processed locally on your device

### Photo Library Add Permission (iOS)

- **Purpose**: To save receipt images to your photo library

- **Usage**: Only when you choose to save a receipt image

- **Data**: Images are saved to your device's photo library

### SMS Permission (Android Only)

- **Purpose**: To automatically import expense information from bank SMS notifications

- **Usage**: Only if you explicitly enable SMS auto-import in settings

- **Data**: SMS messages are read and processed locally. Only messages matching your configured bank sender numbers are processed. No SMS data is transmitted or stored externally.

- **Note**: This feature is not available on iOS due to platform restrictions

### Biometric Authentication (Face ID / Touch ID / Fingerprint)

- **Purpose**: To secure your app and protect your financial data

- **Usage**: Only when you enable app lock in settings

- **Data**: Biometric data is handled by your device's secure system and is never accessed by our app

### Internet Permission

- **Purpose**: To fetch currency exchange rates from public APIs

- **Usage**: Automatically when you view transactions in different currencies

- **Data**: Only public exchange rate data is fetched. No personal information is sent.

## Third-Party Services

### Currency Exchange Rates

Masroofati fetches currency exchange rates from public APIs (exchangerate-api.com, open.er-api.com):

- **No personal information is sent** when fetching exchange rates

- Rates are cached locally on your device

- We do not track which currencies you use

### Google AdMob (Advertising)

Masroofati uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use data about your device and app usage to provide personalized ads. This may include:

- Device identifiers (Advertising ID)

- App usage data

- Location data (if enabled on your device)

- Device information (model, OS version)

**You can opt out of personalized ads:**

- **Android**: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

- **iOS**: Settings → Privacy → Apple Advertising → Limit Ad Tracking

**Important**: If you purchase "Remove Ads" ($4.99), no ads will be displayed and AdMob will not collect any data from you.

### In-App Purchases

Masroofati offers an optional in-app purchase to remove advertisements:

- **Payment Processing**: Handled by Apple (iOS) or Google (Android)

- **Data Collected**: We only receive confirmation of purchase status

- **No Payment Information**: We never see or store your payment details

- **Purchase Status**: Stored locally on your device only

## Backup and Restore

Masroofati offers an optional backup feature that allows you to:

- Create encrypted backups of your data

- Share backups via iCloud, Google Drive, email, or other services

- Restore data from backups on the same or different devices

**Important Notes:**

- Backups are **encrypted** with a password you choose

- Backups are **stored by you** (not on our servers)

- We do not have access to your backup files

- You are responsible for the security of your backup password

## Data Security

- All data is encrypted using your device's built-in security features

- Sensitive data (PINs, backup passwords) is stored using secure storage mechanisms

- No data transmission occurs except for:

  - Fetching public exchange rates

  - AdMob advertising (if ads are enabled)

  - In-app purchase verification (handled by Apple/Google)

## Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

- **Access**: All your data is stored on your device and accessible through the app

- **Deletion**: You can delete all data at any time using the "Reset All Data" option in Settings

- **Export**: You can export your data to CSV/PDF formats

- **Backup**: You can create encrypted backups of your data

- **Opt-Out**: You can disable ads by purchasing "Remove Ads" or opt out of personalized ads in device settings

## Children's Privacy

Masroofati is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with information, please contact us.

## Data Sharing

**We do NOT share your data with third parties**, except:

1. **AdMob** (Google): Only if ads are enabled, for advertising purposes. You can opt out of personalized ads or purchase "Remove Ads" to disable all ads.

2. **Apple/Google**: For in-app purchase processing. They handle all payment information - we only receive purchase confirmation.

3. **Currency Exchange APIs**: Only public exchange rate data is fetched. No personal information is sent.

## International Data Transfers

- Your data is stored locally on your device

- No data is transferred internationally by our app

- AdMob may transfer advertising data as per Google's privacy policy

- Currency exchange APIs may be located in different countries

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:
